Gail & Airy

Riverland Farms, owned and operated by Gail Boyd, is located in the Livermore Valley at the eastern edge of the San Francisco Bay Area. The farm's breeding program is designed to produce dressage and hunter prospects that are a pleasure to watch and enjoyable to ride.

For a warmblood breeder, the quality of their produce is first measured by the German Breed Registries when they inspect the foals. The majority of the foals at Riverland Farms are registered with Oldenburg/ISR. While the national average of Oldenburg premium foals each year is around 20 to 25%, Riverland Farms has produced 80% premium foals for over 15 years.

A great deal of research and study goes into making the matches that produce the highest level of quailty. The farm does not own a stallion so each year the entire stallion population is available for consideration. Test scores, performance scores, production statistics, and video, along with extensive knowledge of the mares, all play a role in making the choice that will result in that especially nice young prospect.
